Malaysia announced it would reopen its labour market to Bangladesh and 11 other countries. Recruitment runs through agencies chosen by Malaysia. On 6 October 2026 Bangladesh planned to send 10,000 workers first, but no medical centres had been approved yet and there was no firm start date.
